Boy Oh Boy!

So apparently everyone (except me and the 3 other people who voted girl on this blog) knew we were having a boy.  I have to say I am very surprised!  I mean I know there is a 50/50 chance of having a boy, but I really thought I was having a girl.  I did not even think there was really a chance it was a boy.  Well maybe at one point I thought so, but only because this baby is super active and my face has broken out somewhat during this pregnancy (that did not happen with Ava and rarely happens when I am not pregnant).  I mean I still have the crazy itchiness (especially on my legs) that I had when carrying Ava...too much info? But really I was expecting a girl.  Why else did we save boxes and boxes of girl clothes from Ava, Sawyer & Lexie?

Anyways I was going to post some of the sonograms from today's appt, specifically the one where they showed us that it is indeed a boy.  But then, since it is really obvious in the photo that it is a boy, I wasn't so sure it was appropriate to post.  Might embarrass our little man before he's even born!  And what can I say, it is the end of a long day and I am kind of tired and don't feel like scanning photos in.  Maybe another time?

Everything looked good otherwise so that was good to hear and the baby is probably about 14 oz now.  Half way there!  Yeah!  I think I am most excited that I will be having a boy right after Cortney has her boy in January so we will have 2 boys on the Easterwood side now and they will be super close in age...now we just need to get Cort, Jack & Grif to be back in Austin and we are all set!  That and it is super cool to have a matching set (you know, a mom, a dad, a girl and a boy...I think weird thoughts like that sometimes).

Just to give you something maybe more interesting, I'll leave you with a story about Ava.  On the way to the drs appt today, we had this conversation.

Ava: Mommy, when the baby comes and he cries (apparently she knew she was getting a brother already!) at night, I'll give him a milky bottle.
Me: You will?
Ava: Yes. And when he drops his lovie, I will pick it up.  Do you know how I can get him out of the crib?
Me: No, how?
Ava:  A stool. I'm going to be a big sister!

So needless to say she is excited about being a big sister and I think she will be my little helper (when we let her).  She was excited to hear she is getting a brother and I think it will be nice once we decide upon a name since between her and Darren, we have the following suggestions (jokingly suggested, I hope): LeBron, Magic, Brobee, Plex, just to name a few.  I apparently have 2 children already. :)

Oh and yeah for carrying on the Okruhlik name!
