Happy Day & Counting

Yesterday, we celebrated the birthdays of the twins in my class. As you can see, I was still really into celebrating it today when I put on my party hat and deciding to include my babies in the whole production. And of course, I kept saying "Happy Day" over and over again.
In the middle of my little party, I took a break to count. Mommy thought I was just going to go to 10 but I ended up surprising her and counting a bit further.

Another Tumble Class

I'm really enjoying my weekly tumble class these days. Today I did a backwards roll with the help of my teacher Miss Lori...I love doing rolls...they are super fun.
I actually attempted to hang on the bar this time...still having trouble getting over the fear of completely lifting my feet off the ground but I'm getting closer. And here I am in the animal bucket...this week was all about animals and I could not wait to get my hands on all the dolls.

Rodeo

San Antonio Rodeo here we come...we had a great day despite the fact that it was kind of windy and a bit overcast.

On our way in...I was not too excited at first b/c I had just rode in the car 2 hours (not my favorite thing).

After going to the kid's corner of the livestock show and seeing sheep, chickies, cows and pigs, some nice lady gave me these awesome pig ears!
Right around the time the bullriding began, I decided to crash for my nap...surprisingly I slept through half of the event.

But when I finally woke up, I really enjoyed the show. Thanks G&P for coming with us (and for driving all over Texas in one weekend just for me!)

G&P In Town

Granny & Pops came to town again this weekend...they came to babysit me on Friday while M&D went to a wedding and then on Saturday we went to the San Antonio Rodeo.

But before all that, we all played in the backyard once they got into town. I took Granny on a tour and showed her my new playscape.
Pops & I laughed as Daddy threw the ball for Smokey--this game never gets old!

And here I am with M&D before they left for the evening...I felt a bit under dressed!

Happy Early Birthday...

to me! So my birthday is a little over a month away but Mommy and Daddy surprised me with my gift early...a playscape(got to love Craigslist)! Here I am running as fast as I can to it. I really enjoy the slide...weeeeee!
After playing on the playscape, Daddy & I had fun throwing the ball for Smokey. I think it is just hilarious when he runs to go fetch it...he moves so fast!
Then we practiced telling Smokey to "stay" while we threw the ball. Then Daddy told me to tell him "fetch!" I just love playing outside with my doggy and Daddy too!

Baseball with the Cousins

We all took turn at the Tilson's house today playing baseball...
Me Sawyer (check out the adorable expression on her face!)
and Lexie.

Taco Deli

Mommy & I met up with Christi (in visiting from Chicago) today for brunch. While they ate and talked, I got to run around the picnic tables and practice my balance beam skills.

Christi also played with me and tried to make me climb a tree...I thought that was pretty funny! We had a really great time seeing you Christi..hopefully we will see you again soon...we miss you!

Vocabulary

My vocabulary is expanding daily. To the point where I guess I should stop posting these updates as they get a bit long but I can't help it. Mommy wants a record of it for the baby book she says she is supposedly filling out...yeah right!

I sing the following songs (many of the words at least): Twinkle Twinkle, Row Row Row Your Boat, Old MacDonald, ABCs, Float Flutter Fly (song from Backyardigans), Ring Around the Rosie

Recent things being said: names of people at my school (Pat, Delia, Kjell, Finn, Reed, Marc, Ian, Cypress, Gaby), the Yo Gabba Gabba gang (Brobee, Foofa, Plex, Muno, Toodee), guitar, sign, chair, fishy, frog, outside, fork, Rose, snowman, Dorothy (as in Elmo's fish or dinosaur on Wiggles), Minnie & Mickey Mouse, Donald & Daisy Duck, Goofy, heart, Dora, Diego, cracker, paci (fier),excited, sticker, cleanup, Sawyer, Gabe, Lexie, golf, jump, baseball, morning, Granny, party, towel, cowboy hat, hop, rainbow, open, bear, dolphin, Oscar, boat, owie, puddle, Ni Hao, inside, belt, pony, zebra, giraffe, snake, pickle, ready, azul (my first spanish word - thanks Dora!), ice cream, my pets (Zaphod, Ford & Smokey), yogurt, climb, i love you

Phrases you are likely to hear me utter on any given day: Right there, what happened?, where's _?, need help, open door, I broke it, I tee tee, I stinky, here you go, where'd you go?, any combination of an animal and the sound it makes i.e. kitty cat meow

One final thing. This is not a vocab thing but I have to share. I have started making my dolls kiss one another. Daddy first discovered that I did this when he caught me making my Granny doll kiss the Pops doll...too cute!

My First Haircut

After rocking my awesome mullet (which morphed into a crazy shaggy do) for more than a few months, we finally decided to get my hair cut.

Here is the before shot of my lovely locks.
Here is me during the actual cut...I got sprayed down as I watched Dora on the TV.
This was taken during the blowout portion of the cut. I always love getting my hair dried (Mommy and I play this game a lot at home so I was used to it).

And here I am checking out the new do...check out my nice short bangs. I even got a few layers in the back to accentuate my oh so cute curls!

And the final result...I got a lollipop and no tears were shed so yeah for me!!

Tumble Class

I started tumble class today and it was SO MUCH FUN! I got to run around, dance, sing songs, jump on a trampoline and tumble.

I met lots of nice kids like Cory who insisted on following me around and jumping with me on the trampoline.
At the end of class, we even got to play with bubbles (one of my all time favorite things to do). I can't wait until next Tues!!!
