At the Pool

Mommy, Aunt Gabe, Sawyer and I went to the pool today. It was pretty fun...I spent most of the time taking in the scenery but I did go for a little dip in the pool.

Here I am hanging out on the lounge chair...not really getting a tan since Mommy put an SPF of like 50 on me and we were in the shade (probably best this way so that I did not get burned). Isn't my new swimsuit adorable?

Lazy Sunday

Today was a nice lazy Sunday. Daddy and I hung out for a bit in bed...
Then we went to Aunt Gabe & Uncle Lyndon's to play...I got to snuggle up to Aunt Gabe (and my soon to be born cousin) -- [Check out the Sawyer blur in the pic below -- she moves very fast these days!]

And while we were there, I even got to try on Uncle Lyndon's headphones that help drown out noise -- maybe I can borrow these for when Mommy sings? Only kidding! I think I am probably the only one who actually enjoys my Mommy's off key singing.

Sling Time

Mommy decided to try out the sling today. She tried when I was younger but I really did not like it. As you can see from the below, I actually thought this was really fun....


...so fun in fact, that I helped Mommy clean the house all afternoon!

Michelle's Visit

Mommy's friend Michelle came over to play with me today. We hung around and then went to lunch and went shopping. She is due with a boy in November -- I can't wait b/c I will have a new playmate! And maybe a future boyfriend???

4 Months Old and Loving It

Today I am 4 months old...my how time flies! We went to the dr. on Friday and I got 4 more shots (ow!) -- not as bad I guess as last time though. I am also 12 lbs 10.5 ozs (30%) and
23 inches (25%) long. Here is a funny face I make sometimes when I get my picture taken.

Semi Giggling

Mommy finally captured some video of me sorta giggling. I have been doing it a lot recently especially when we play the "touchdown" game. But here she is tickling me in my armpit on my playmat. Apparently I have a ticklish spot.

Back To Blonde

Mommy went back to being blonde this weekend (I hardly remember her blonde since I could not see that well and I slept all the time). Anyways, she figured out how to do the self timer and so she took this shot of me & her today.

Exersaucer Time!

Well, I am approaching 4 months old (this coming Sunday) so it was time to break out the exersaucer. I just dangle in it but I was interested in everything.


Check out my little legs -- they are so small that I am just on tippy toe.

And here I am getting tired, so I rested my head for a bit.

Surfing the Net

Ok so I wasn't really surfing the net. But I was helping Daddy do stuff at the computer while Mommy was on the phone. And I just thought this pic was cute!

Ah...the Outside!

Today I sat in my bumbo chair and looked outside at Smokey. I love the outdoors -- so fascinating and pretty! If it was not so hot out, I know me & Mommy would spend more time out there every day. That is why I can't wait for the fall!! (Check out my old man bald spot -- still there!)

Scooting

So I have learned how to move. No, I am not crawling yet. But I do use my super strong legs to scoot across the floor. Mommy or Daddy will put me down on the floor and when they return I have moved 2-3 feet. Check out this video of me scooting. I even make nice sound effects these days. I have a whole repertoire of sounds these days...from squeals, to cries, to almost giggling. I am quite amusing.

Message to Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I had a great time this weekend. I was SO happy we got to spend a lot of time together. Although Mommy is fun, I see her all day long every day -- today just is not the same without you - I miss you already! Can't wait until tonight so we can play some more!

Daddy Time

This weekend I got to spend a lot of time with my Daddy. Mommy had a hair appt and went and saw a movie so we had a lot of quality time together. And we had a blast! Here is me in my typical hold with Daddy -- I like to lean one way when he holds me for some reason.



And here is me napping in my chair -- Daddy really wore me out playing with me!

And finally, Daddy had to do some work so I hung out in my Bumbo chair on the table right next to him so I could help him. He is making me smile really big in this one!

Older Men

So I have no pics of this but Mommy, Daddy & I went to a family friend's wedding last night. While waiting for the ceremony to begin, I was hanging out in my car seat when two older men (I believe they were between the ages of 2 and 4) approached me and asked my parents if they could "touch the baby", baby, in this case being me. So after giving two nice little pats the older of the two boys asked if he could "kiss the baby." They then proceeded to each kiss me on the forehead a few times. Mommy & Daddy thought it was cute -- they had no idea that at almost 4 months I would have so many admirers.

Watch out Daddy! The teenage years are going to be particularly hard on you!

Granny & Pops In Town...Again

Well, Granny & Pops came in town Mon night since Pops had another meeting to go to here. I got to spend lots of time with them since Mommy was away for part of Tues and Wed. We had fun smiling, rolling, and talking. Here I am sitting with Granny.


Here is Pops making a very serious face (he & Daddy sometimes get caught on camera this way) --he was talking to Daddy at the time so I think he was listening very hard.

And here I am sitting up on the couch (with assistance of course). I kept making surprised and silly faces at Mommy while she was taking pics. I like to do that these days.

And finally, here is a very sweet note that Mommy discovered that Granny & Pops left for me when she was cleaning out the guest room (yes for all of you who know Mommy, she actually does clean and cook these days -- AMAZING!)

Me & Mr. Sock Cat

So I was playing with Mr. Sock Cat that my Aunt Cortney gave to me and Mommy decided to snap these photos. Anyone else think I look like I am getting caught doing something I shouldn't be? I sure do look surprised and wide-eyed sometimes.


Also, do you find it funny that Mr. Sock Cat is larger than me (just barely)?

Ladies Lunch

Today I was "lunching with the ladies." Mommy took me to Chez Zee for a brunchy lunch with her friends Dani & Jennie. Dani was in town from San Antonio so this was her first time to meet me. We had a lot of fun!

Mom's Night Out

Well Mommy went out tonight to Christi's going away dinner. So since she was all dressed up, she had Daddy snap a few of her & I together. She is always complaining that she does not have many photos of us together and that most of the time the ones we do have are not too good. So here is her attempt to get a few good ones. Whaddya think? (I think I look surprised!)

What Am I Doing?

Although it looks like I might throw up on the below video, it is actually me practicing my new skill. Either I am learning to make the "b" sound or I am going to blow a raspberry. You be the judge.

Either way I've been entertaining Mommy & Daddy with this for the last few days.

Playing

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but Mommy was under the weather and she helps me type my comments up. So here I am today playing with a new toy I discovered. It is a crunchy book and I love to nibble on it.
