Swing!

Daddy hung the swing I got from Pablo and Coco for my birthday this weekend. So today I tested it out and I love it! I laughed the whole time I was in it. Yeah!!!

Bath Time!

Can't decide who enjoys my baths more, me or my parents...I love the foam letters and numbers that I have but I think Mommy & Daddy might enjoy putting them on me more. :)

More Headband/Headwrap Fun

New Tongue Thing

Anyone who has been around me for more than a few minutes knows that I like to stick out my tongue frequently. Here is the latest thing that I can't stop doing with my tongue -- I sometimes babble when I do this as well and it makes Mommy & Daddy laugh.

The Headband Game

I have found a new and fascinating game to play -- it involves picking up a headband, putting it on my head, running around, dropping it and repeating. It's pretty entertaining really.

Music

So I used to listen to music in my crib to help me go to sleep. I have not done this in a long time but the music box is still attached to the side of my crib. I recently have discovered how to turn it on and every other time I lay down to sleep (napping or bedtime), I turn it on. Daddy caught me crawling over there to flip the switch one night before he left the room...I am getting quite smart! He and Mommy find it really funny when they leave and then minutes later here music coming out of my room. I just know what I want these days.

Finally!!

I'm almost 13 months old and I finally am big enough to ride forward facing in my car seat! Look at how little I look in my throne!

Looking for Daddy

Here I am assuming my usual position by the window when Daddy does yard work. I love to watch him outside...I can do it for hours!

Windchimes

Oh how I love windchimes! They always make me smile...check out my many teeth (I have about 7 1/2 now)...

And So It Begins...

We went to lunch with Brooke today and Mommy learned really quickly that I have entered the oh so scary zone of....Toddlerdom. Yep that's right. Only a few weeks after I started walking and already I am asserting my opinion about everything as well as refusing to be in a high chair or any other sort of confinement for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Case in point...at lunch I whined the whole time and then Mommy made the mistake of putting me down so I could walk around. Well of course I wanted to take off and of course Mommy did not want me to. When she picked me up again, I sure did put up a fight! Brooke was a wonderful sport about the whole thing...guess she realizes that's what happens when you lunch with a toddler.

I sat still for about 2 seconds while Mommy snapped this one of me & Brooke (don't think we have ever taken a pic together at any of our many lunches)....

Me & Sawyer

I got to go to Sawyer's house today and play on her playscape she got for her upcoming birthday...we had a lot of fun together as you can see.

Playground Playdate

We met up for a playdate today at Michelle's local playground. It was so much fun! Unfortunately, we did not get any good pics of me & any of the other 5 kids together so Mommy can only post these two of me.

This first one is of me on the slide (I liked climbing it more than sliding down it).

And here I am at the steering wheel that flipped these balls around. It was a really cool playground and a great group of kids. Maybe I can eat more of the cedar chips when I go back.

Good Idea

Mommy knew those family dolls would be a good idea and they were! I have already taken a liking to the first two and starting running around the house with them today (and I do mean running -- I just have to be moving all the time now!)

Weekend

This weekend, we headed down to Conroe to see Granny & Pops...Daddy also went to the Shell Open in Houston so it was twice as nice.

I posed for pics with G & P -- don't I look like a doll?? Mommy thinks so.


Speaking of dolls, Mommy enlisted Granny's help to make some family dolls. Mommy plans to make dolls of all my relatives who don't live in Austin so I can play with them all the time. We may make others of all my relatives but I want to start with the out of towners first. Here are the first two...we made them of G&P since they helped.

And finally we played in the bubbles outdoors since it was not that nice on Saturday and we could not play in the water. This shot is cool b/c G & I are kind of blurry but the bubbles are crystal clear. I wasn't sure what to make of the bubbles really...they kept coming right at my face!

More Lunches...

This has been the "Week of Friendly Lunches." Tuesday was lunch with Jennie, yesterday was lunch with Michelle & AJ and today we went and had lunch with Melissa. Even though it was cloudy out, we sat on the patio...it was fun.

Ball

I love to play ball..so much in fact that I have started saying "Ball"... well I say "Ba" but its the same thing really. I also say "Ba ba ba" to say good bye. I say "Ma" and "Da" too. Its all just the beginning steps to talking. Here is a video of me talking about my ball. Listen close b/c I say it at the beginning and then only one more time after that.

I also love playing ball...Daddy, Mommy and I do it quite frequently. Throwing the ball makes me laugh. Here is a quick video of that (please excuse Mommy's shoddy camera work but she says it is hard to play and record at the same time...she's blonde).

I took off walking today...Mommy was watching me play and then I rounded the couch and just took off...here is a little video of me in action.

Happy Girl

Went to lunch with our friend Jennie today...it was a lot of fun and I was happy to see her...she has been swamped with her work (rodeo!) for 3 months so I have not gotten to see her in awhile.
