Twins

Today we went to Aunt Gabe's to hang out and I wore my cute new dress (that Adrian & Shiley gave me for my birthday) and Sawyer has the same dress! She of course wanted to put hers on so we could be twins. Check out how cute we are...too bad Mommy could not get a good pic of both of us.

Walking!!!

I have been taking steps independently for weeks now when prompted by Mommy or Daddy but today I actually started just taking steps on my own. Every day I take more and more steps...today I probably took 15 or more steps at a time...I should really be walking all the time very soon...watch out world, here I come!

We had a really good time hanging around the house this weekend and just relaxing. I helped Daddy do some work...

Stats and Other Thoughts

Went to the dr. today for my one year checkup. I am now 29 inches tall (50%) and 18 lbs 11 oz (15%). Apparently I take after my mom in the head dept as I still have a giant noggin -- I'm in the 75 percentile at 18 inches around.

So you know what this means??? I am stuck in my rear facing car seat for a bit longer -- ugh! You have to be 20 lbs and 1 year old and I am too small(funnily enough I think that cousin Sawyer had the opposite problem from me). Anyways, I was looking forward to seeing out the car better. Maybe I can gain a pound quickly? Any ideas?

Also, could not get my shots today as I had a fever all week (they won't vaccinate you if you had a fever 24 hours ago), so I have to wait a bit before I go back for the fun part. Read the sarcasm here. At least I no longer have the fever....just a body rash. I must have partied to hard at my birthday. :)

Running

I have gone from cautiously walking behind my walker to full on running...crazy how one or two weeks makes a big difference in what I can do.

Mommy & I played ball for a long time today -- it was really fun and I have gotten pretty good about throwing the ball back to her.

Aunt Cortney & Uncle Jack were in town for SXSW and we caught up with them for a little bit at the Tilsons. I miss them!!!

Lemon

While in Houston, I tried a lemon for the first time. Mommy thought for sure I would hate it, but was rather surprised when I chomped on it for several minutes. It tasted good!

Trip to Houston

Mommy & I went to Houston this weekend to visit Pablo and Coco (Daddy was in Vegas for work). Here are some really cute pics. I spent a large portion of the weekend practicing walking (I am almost there!) and checking out everything in their house.

More Guitar

I'm the Cat

My new thing is to pretend to be Zaphod...I like to climb up in his cradle and sit there for awhile. I didn't think Mommy noticed that I was doing this...

Tongue

I may be my mother's daughter after all. I am going through a big "tongue" phase where I stick it out ALL the time (into a sharp little point that Daddy thinks is freaky). Mommy used to takes pics as a kid with her tongue out and to the side...maybe I will do the same?

PS. Mommy will have to upload a pic of her as a kid doing this so we can compare.

Kite Festival

Here are some not so great pics from the 80th annual Zilker Park Kite Festival. The weather wasn't great but the sheer amount and size of all of the kites was really cool -- and the people watching! Beware....if you have ADD, the kite festival is NOT for you..
